The Plot Thickens…Headlines:

KD VII STRATOSPHERE  “Calm Before the Storm”

Those last few minutes before the last bell for summer vacation; that moment of silence before a winner is announced; the countdown from 60 to 11 before the countdown from 10 to 1. The air starts changing and suddenly a line of clouds ominously appear on the horizon, the calm before the storm. It’s no secret that Kevin Durant’s precision shooting ability is that of sharpshooter, but how many of you know about his level of intrigue for meteorology?  As a child, Kevin Durant had inspirations of becoming a weatherman. Well, that dream didn’t come true; however, you might still see him on the news every day. He doesn’t forecast rain, but he is the current reigning NBA MVP, making it rain three-pointers and making droughts a thing of the past. It is obvious that the “Slim Reaper” is killing it on the hardwood, and looking at this “Calm Before the Storm” colorway it looks like he is forecasting some serious heat. Calm Before the Storm? is KD foreshadowing some serious problems for his competition?

The KD VII offers natural motion and cushioned support using a data-informed shank and 180° Nike Zoom unit. The Flywire cable technology and Hyperposite construction work together very nicely to stabilize one’s foot and provide dynamic changes of direction. The KD VII is decked out with Rubber outsoles that offer durability and traction whether it is on the hardwood or the blacktop. The shoe is Magnet Grey with Hyper Punch accents, a colorway inspired by metrology. This shoe reminds Kevin Durant of his childhood dreams, and we know it will inspire many other childhood dreams. #TheRealMVP

Air Jordan 4 “FIBA”

Picante Picante

Thanks again Sneaker Gods. It has been a hot hot summer, and Jordan Brand just boosted their heat level a few Scoville units. We have seen quite a few variations of red Air Jordan 4s, this pair, however, caters on a global scale. This silhouette bears the flag symbols of participating teams from the FIBA World cup, as opposed to the ever prominent netting normally featured on the Air Jordan 4. Get Your pair at Jimmy Jazz.

Air Jordan 3 “Knicks : Mars Blackmon Would be Proud

The Air Jordan 3 is often seen as the most iconic sneaker of all time. As part of the “Rivals” series, Jordan brand decided to dip the silhouette in some Knickerbocker paint. This colorway draws great similarities to the “True Blues” but it is a completely new color scheme, a scheme that one would think Spike Lee infiltrated. Get your pair at Jimmy Jazz.

Air Jordan 12 “Game Royal” : Blue Games

It is usually blasphemous in the eyes of sneakerhead to see something held so sacredly be tampered with. Judging from the sneaker community's reactions to this sneaker on social media though, it seems like they are upset that Jordan did not release this colorway sooner. This colorway draws great influence from the “Flu Game” Air Jordan XII but replaces the Bulls colors with Michael Jordan’s retiring Wizard colors. Get your pair at Jimmy Jazz.

Kyrie 5 EP “Bandulu” : You Know it’s Real when it's Fake...

Kyrie is back again with another collab this time featuring the Boston based clothing company Bandulu. Bandulu means “bootleg.” Bandulu’s creative concept consists of taking old styles and upcycling them, adding defects like paint splatters to create the avant-garde.

And Then... There was Jordan:

Air Jordan 6 Retro “History of Jordan”

One might hashtag #KOTD (Kicks of the Day), but what they really mean is #KicksOfTheDecade. What a great way to commemorate arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. When you think about baseball, don’t you think about Babe Ruth? When you think about golf, don’t you think about Tiger Woods? When you think about sneakers, isn’t Jimmy Jazz the first thing on your mind? And in a conversation about basketball, who do you compare everyone to? Michael Jordan, six-Time NBA Champion, six-time NBA Finals MVP, Five-Time NBA MVP, and on top of that he saved the Looney Tunes from being the newest attraction on Moron Mountain...

CAUTION: The following sneaker is one that needs to be approached with extreme vigilance. Fluctuating temperatures turn excruciating this Saturday 8/9/14 with the release of the Air Jordan 6 Retro “History of Jordan.” It has been 23 years since Jordan’s first ring, and it comes as no surprise that the Air Jordan brand would do something to commemorate the shoe Michael Jordan wore, the Air Jordan 6. As compliment to the 1990’s Bulls Dynasty, this shoe features, and all red colorway, with a white midsole, and icy blue bottom. This shoe also commemorates Spike Lee for all his work with Jordan brand, which is why the shoe also features some green detail as a tribute to the OG Jordan Spiz’ike Colorway. Remember that laser pattern that Jordan started to use in 2005 with the Air Jordan XX? Well, it's back and hotter than ever, this time as an all-red collar print. And you thought that we wouldn’t get them? Come on this is Jimmy Jazz... We got hotter kicks than Liu Kang.

Rest Is History:

Air Jordan 1 KO High OG “Sport Blue”

The year is 1984; Michael Jordan is the first-round draft pick for the Chicago Bulls, he quickly becomes a fan favorite, even in the opposing team’s arenas. The Air Jordan 1 is shaped but is introduced to the public in 1985 for $65 retail. The Air Jordan 1 KO is later crafted as a counterpart to the leather Air Jordan 1. The “AJKO” features a canvas upper, which makes the shoe a lot lighter and more durable.

The year is now 2014; Jordan brand is re-releasing the AJKO “Sport Blue.” We are living in an age where the Air Jordan is not just a sneaker, it is a fashion statement. Judging from the AJKO “Sport Blue,” this statement comes in capital letters. This iconic shoe started it all and left a legacy that can never be replaced, it is a timeless classic in a league of its own. If you didn’t have a chance to pick up the “Royal Blue” leather counterpart released in 2013, now you have a chance to redeem yourself. See it not as a substitute but as a second chance. This is the kind of shoe you will find in a museum one day because the greatest works of art are usually manifested in canvas. #PicassoSoles

#HolyGrail:

Air Jordan 6 “Infrared”

The year is 1991; the Chicago Bulls just finish the season in the first place and set a franchise record with 61 wins in the regular season. The Bulls then breeze past the Eastern Conference finals and find themselves in the NBA Finals against Magic Johnson and the LA Lakers. This is Michael Jordan’s first NBA Finals appearance and Magic Johnson’s final appearance. The Bulls win the series 4-1 crowning Michael Jordan the 1991 NBA Finals MVP, and a dynasty was born.

Almost as legendary at this juncture is the actual shoe that Michael Jordan wore through the journey. The Infrared Jordan VI illustrates a beautiful moment in the career of the often revered “GOAT.” Any well-enlightened sneaker fanatic knows the gravity of this release, some might refer to this sneaker as the Holy Grail, others might simply attribute them the greatest Jordan VI release ever. The Air Jordan VI “Infrared” is not a sneaker you want missing from your repertoire. If your interest to purchase these sneakers doesn’t come from a historical standpoint then it must be a aesthetic one. This Air Jordan VI has one of the meanest presences ever, so mean it makes the naked eye put clothes on.

Fun Fact about the Jordan 6: The Jordan 6 has a Porsche-inspired rear pull tab; the AJ 6 is the first Jordan with an inner bootie.
